Abstract: | This paper argues that Nietzsche’s views on women and femininity play a critical role in his philosophy. I challenge the popular notion that Nietzsche’s views on gender are simplistic and anti-women by offering a structural interpretation of his philosophical treatment of gender that accounts for patriarchy and social construction of gender identity, and by emphasizing his deep affinity for femininity. |
