Authors: Massa, Luke

Department: Philosophy
Class Year: 2013
Abstract: My thesis expands on the work of Charles Taylor and K. Anthony Appiah on the role that social identities (e.g. identities based on gender or race ) play in making an authentic life, by arguing for the existence of a "language identity," as something that could itself mediate social interactions.
