The Relationship between Labor Unions and Immigration during the Cold War

Abstract

This paper is motivated by observations of the trend of declining labor union membership that began during the Cold War in America, as well as discussions of immigration into the United States during the Cold War. I will be using ordinary leastsquares regression to determine if there is a relationship between labor unions and immigration both at the international and domestic level, studying the time period 1970- 1990.
