Abstract: In optical quantum computing, individual photons or atoms are trapped within optical tweezers and operated on within these traps. In order to create a usable quantum computer, an array of optical tweezers must be created. This is done using an acousto-optical deflector controlled with a multi-tone RF signal. This paper reports the implementation of a system that computes such a signal with an FPGA, dynamically calculating the signal as the sum of sinusoidal waves with individually-controlled attributes.
