Description: "One workable methodology is to relate Kautilya’s Arthashastra with a current issue as explained in the four steps (a to d) below: (a) Summary of a problem or issues in contemporary times. (b) Relating (a) with concepts in the Arthashastra as in the sutras. (c) Re-statement of the problem or issue at (a) modified using vocabulary/ concepts from the Arthashastra as established at (b). Here one may bring about a change and may either agree or disagree with Kautilya and then state the concept or position. (d) Reiterate strategic vocabulary so established. The above-mentioned method brings out the reinterpretation of text for contemporary issues. This could be then related to concepts which may by similar or partially similar or even a mirror image for a comparative perspective.".
