| Abstract: | How sporting events during the Cold War era can affect foreign policy in both the United States and in the Soviet Union. The main ideas I look into are 1972 Summit series in Canada, the 1980 winter Olympics, and the 1980 and 1984 Olympic boycotts. Using those three events I show how those specific events can change those two powerhouse countries. |
