dc.description.abstractBy treating law and morality as analogous, and by treating rules and laws as analogous, I argue that ice hockey’s and contemporary society’s moralities are significantly out of sync. In fact, the morality of ice hockey, a game invented in the late 19th century, seems to resemble ancient Greek morality (circa 500 BC) more so than it does contemporary morality.en_US
