Authors: Tuck, Sandra G.

Department: Electrical Engineering
Class Year: 1980
Abstract: This report documents an effort to employ digital closed loop control to operate the speed mechanism of a sewing machine. This effort was designed as an exploratory venture. In the process of implementing closed loop control we investigated the characteristics of the machine, the microprocessor snd those of our system in the hope that some of our results could be generalized, and therefore useful to others undertaking a similar endeavor.
