Abstract: | This paper seeks to simulate altruistic triggered donor-recipient pairings in the United States kidney transplantation network, projecting gains and performing sensitivity analyses on search radii and overall algorithm performance. Moreover, there will be experimentation to find the effects of the sparseness of the network and how it affects performance of the matching algorithm. Lastly, the simulation data will also examine the existence of a steady state mean for the waiting list and relevant biases in blood type in terms of procuring organs. |
