Title: | FINE’S NEW APPROACH TO VAGUENESS |
Authors: | Friedkin, Zane |
Advisors: | Rosen, Gideon |
Department: | Philosophy |
Class Year: | 2018 |
Abstract: | I survey the territory of the vagueness problem before introducing a new approach from Fine (2008, 2015, forthcoming). That new approach defines vagueness as the negation of the conjunction of instances of excluded middle, without trading in borderline cases or denying the Tarski schema. |
