In this thesis, I undertake a linguistic analysis of the truth conditions for ‘ought’-claims and present a challenge to the objectivity of ethics that follows from this analysis. Specifically, I argue that one who holds ethics to be objective cannot account for the determinate truth or falsity of ‘ought’-claims.en_US
