dc.description.abstract | Currently, IoT device networks are extremely centralized and have flaws that enable malicious actors to manipulate data. By using a blockchain which enables secure and decentralized data to be stored, we can prevent data tampering that can be used in various application such as maintaining the integrity of police body camera footage and self-driving cars. Furthermore, we can then create IoT devices which are capable of being controlled by blockchain transactions. Once we have this, we can then transfer ownership of physical objects through decentralized blockchain contracts. This project successfully builds a platform to enable the pushing of data from hardware sensors to the Ethereum blockchain and to control digital objects through the blockchain. From here, the idea of extending this to more domains is explored. | en_US |
