This study uses a ‘Sabermetric’ approach to analyze professional ice hockey statistics in an attempt to discover inefficiently priced player statistics based on their impact on aggregate team performance. Using player statistics and salaries and team payrolls and performance, this study looks to provide the most cost efficient approach to building a team in eight most recent NHL seasons completed (2005-06 to 2012-13).en_US
